
Project Description: A general plan is a State-mandated long-range planning document that expresses goals and related policies to guide the future growth and development of a community. The 2016 Town of Parker General Plan is a comprehensive update of the existing 2008 Town of Parker General Plan. The 2016 General Plan includes two state-required elements of a General Plan (Land Use and Circulation/Transportation) as well as a detailed Implementation Plan.
Review Period: The 2016 General Plan Update is now completed in its draft form. State law requires a 60-day public agency review period that began on January 1, 2017 and is scheduled to end on March 1, 2017. During this review period, the Town also welcomes and encourages the general public to review and comment on the draft plan.
Where to Send Comments: Submit written comments regarding the draft 2016 General Plan to the Town of Parker, attention Aric Stewart, 1314 11th Street Parker, AZ 85344 or comments may also be submitted via email to pubwksdir@townofparkeraz.us. Please ensure all comments are received no later than March 1, 2017. For questions, please call 928-669-9265.
Final Approval Process: Following the close of the public review period and receipt of agency and public comments on the draft 2016 General Plan, the Town will prepare a response to comments, and provide additional notices concerning the formal General Plan adoption process.
